Thomas has been with wagamama for 6 years, taking on the role of CEO in 2021. He has led the company through post-pandemic recovery, and from strength to strength as the brand continues to expand across the UK and internationally.
Thomas is passionate about wagamama’s core philosophy of kaizen, meaning ‘continuous improvement’ - the act of making small, positive changes every day to create lasting impact. These small changes lead to the innovation that keeps wagamama fresh and relevant today; wagamama’s plant pledge to maintain a 50% plant-based menu, the uniform collaboration with wagamama’s partner brand and B-corp Pangaia, and moving to take-out packaging made from mostly recycled materials, saving 330 tonnes of virgin plastic per year.
A true people-led leader, Thomas’ career has spanned multiple roles across HR in the hospitality sector and beyond. It’s this passion for people that shines through in the culture at wagamama and its drive for positive, sustainable change.
