Suk Singh
Suk Singh, the new chief development officer for Wagamama US, probably knows more than any other Brit about opening restaurants in the United States - and across the globe for that matter.
He’s been working in the US with major American brands since the 1990s, most recently as international officer, and before that global chief development officer, at Bloomin Brands, the outfit behind the likes of Outback, Bonefish and Flemings. Previously he’d spent a decade as chief development officer with Darden, and before that as VP of development at Burger King. That’s some CV for a lad from Leicester.
His challenge now is to head up and give new focus to the roll-out of one of Britain’s most high-profile restaurant names in the States, with the aim of establishing Wagamama as a national player in the modern Asian dining space.
