Sue Phillips
Sue has been working in Market Research for 40 years, 20 of those in global roles with Ipsos. Sue is an international qualitative specialist and has supported clients to grow their businesses with consumer needs at the centre and enabled our researchers across the world to do the same. Sue is now based in the UK and has spent 8 years living and working in Asia.
In July 2024, Sue was appointed Global ESG Lead for Ipsos. This involves leading our Sustainability Impact with clients, how we Inform the world on Sustainability and how we implement our own ESG practice. Sue leads Ipsos’ Net Zero programme in line with SBTI validated commitments.
In 2025, Sue has spoken about sustainability trends, how businesses are responding and the challenges to consumer engagement in the topic. She was co-author of a CMO-CSO playbook, designed to foster greater collaboration between these two stakeholders in driving more sustainable growth in business. Sue has presented this year in Davos, Cannes and most recently in Rio de Janeiro during a series of Pre-COP30 events.
Sue is passionate about championing diverse groups and driving inclusive behaviours that enable everyone to feel comfortable to be themselves and bring their differences to any discussion. In 2018, Sue founded Ipsos’ Gender Balance Network and in 2022, became our first Global Leader of Belong, Ipsos initiative to drive our internal Diversity, Equity and Inclusion activities.
Sue is also a certified coach with an ACC credential from the International Coaching Federation
