Karen joined Greene King in 2012 from JJB Sports where she was Retail Director. Prior to this, Karen enjoyed a 28 year career in the retail sector, latterly at Mothercare plc where she was Head of Operations for eight years. Karen was Business Unit Director for Greene King’s South East and London pubs for six years before being appointed to the Executive Board in 2019. Karen currently runs the Premium, Urban and Venture Brand business including all its City Pubs nationwide and the newly formed Crafted Pub Company. She has accountability as Executive Chair for Venture Brands which includes Metropolitan Pub Company and a newly formed Venture creating a new Hotel Company for Greene King. 

Married with two children she was recently named by the Guardian as a Pride Powerlist Ally for 2022 and has been named as a Finalist in The British Diversity Awards as Diversity Champion 2022. An advocate for women and the progression of women in business and an Exec sponsor for the Village Greene LGBTIQ community at Greene King
