Alice Keown

Leasing director – restaurants and leisure, British Land

Alice has worked in the hospitality property sector for over 15 years, working on some of the major developments in the UK including Terminal 5 Heathrow, Westfield London and Stratford as well as the regeneration of London neighbourhoods such as Covent Garden, St James’s and Broadgate. During this time, she has worked in the restaurant leasing team for BAA placing restaurants across seven UK airports, with Davis Coffer Lyons within the London and Development Landlord team and more laterally with British Land.

Alice leads the portfolio restaurant and leisure strategy at British Land and has pioneered a central leasing approach which has been extended across office and retail teams. At the core is a customer-oriented partnership approach, which aims to work more closely with long standing customers whilst attracting new customers.

Her latest opening is Revolve at 100 Liverpool St, a flagship building within the £1.5bn repositioning of Broadgate. Revolve epitomises the partnership approach as the arrangement is a joint venture between Broadgate and Adamo. This project will support up and coming talent in the sector whilst providing a changing brassiere offer through a rotation of top chefs for the customers at Broadgate.

Alice is currently launching the retail space at Norton Folgate, a development of Victorian warehouses between Spitalfields and Shoreditch to create a new enclave dining destination.
