The 14 winners were chosen from shortlists that featured 104 nominations across the spectrum of British hospitality, including 67 different brands and businesses, 8 venues and 17 leaders. Twelve of the winners were selected by panels of hospitality experts, while two—Power Brand and Consumer Choice—were based on guest ratings measured by CGA by NIQ’s BrandTrack survey.

The Awards were presented on Tuesday 14 November at a special Hero & Icon Awards dinner that followed the Peach 20/20 Leaders Summit, the industry’s most important networking and learning event of the year.

The list of winners is a combination of longstanding brands, new arrivals and inspiring individuals. Mission Mars, Peach Pubs and JKS Restaurants win three important categories for best bar, pub and restaurant business respectively, while the prize for Alternative Business goes to Flight Club.

Other big-name winners include Dishoom, which takes the Consumer Choice for the second year in a row. Nando’s receives with the Power Brand trophy—also for the second successive year—while Hawksmoor is recognised with the International Brand award.

Newer businesses on the roll-call of winners include F1 Arcade and Casa Do Frango, which receive the Newcomer and Disruptor Brand awards respectively. The Best Destination category goes to Control Room B in Battersea.

Two more categories recognise achievement in important cross-industry issues. Caravan takes the Sustainability Champion award while the Diversity Champion is Turtle Bay.

The list is completed by three individuals. Jane O’Riordan of Caravan, Red Engine and Turtle Bay receives the Chair / Non-Executive Director of the Year award and brothers James and Thom Elliott of Pizza Pilgrims take the CEO / Leader of the Year category.

Peach 20/20 founder Peter Martin says: “Congratulations to all these inspirational businesses and individuals. From the newest start-ups to the most revered brands they represent the very best of our dynamic and diverse sector. In another year of challenge and change they have shown why hospitality remains such a vibrant and attractive sector. We are proud to celebrate them.”

Peach 20/20 thanks its headline partners on the Hero & Icon Awards: CGA by NIQ, Diageo, Fourth, Nutritics, Wireless Social and Zonal; premium partners Chapman Ventilation, Coca-Cola Europacific Partners, Harri and Uber Eats; and event partners Airship, Brakes, Cardlytics, Freeths, Fresh Direct, Greene King, Lucky Saint and Toggle
