Peach 20/20 Advisory Board Revealed
When we launched Peach 20/20 in the early noughties – the year 2020 seemed like a far and distant land. How wrong we were.
Our idea back then was to bring together a small group of like-minded board level executives from a broad spectrum across the eating and drinking-out market to discuss, debate and consider the big, strategic challenges and opportunities – consumers, property, people, access to capital, government. It would be away from the day-to-day pressures of the business and through a five, 10 or even 15 year lens - like a mini ‘Davos’ for the sector – but with significantly less snow and smaller budgets.
Two decades on and the idea has become much more than a one-off event looking at a point in time.
Peach 20/20 is now a community in its own right with some of the smartest brains and savviest operators in the sector as self-selecting members of the ‘club’ that mutually support, advise and increasingly sit on each other’s boards.
And that has very little to do with us. The community is ‘user generated’ – powered by the calibre of people who attend to make the networking so rich and rewarding, the superb speakers who share their expertise with astonishing candour and generosity and in no small part to our sponsors who fund us and enable us to put on a cracking event.
The sector is facing another set of challenges – many outside our direct control – and we want to make sure we make maximum use of this year’s conference. To that end we’ve extended our Advisory Board to ensure we focus on the right questions, bring fresh and valuable thinking and convert those insights into action.
