Former Wagamama CEO Emma Woods will be back in the industry spotlight in November when she takes on the role of co-chair of hospitality’s most influential conference, Peach 20/20.

The flagship conference, and its accompanying Hero & Icon awards ceremony, will return to London on November 17.

“I’m really excited to be co-chairing this year’s conference and to be involved in shaping the day’s agenda and discussion. Peach 20/20 has always been the conference I didn’t miss, tackling the big questions that the sector faces. This year, as we re-emerge from Covid, it feels critical to be debating these,” said Woods, who will share chairing duties with Peach 20/20 founder and executive director Peter Martin.

“Emma’s experience in running one of the UK’s most high profile restaurant brands, in Wagamama, and before that in senior marketing and digital roles at Merlin and PizzaExpress, will be invaluable, bringing a crucial operator’s focus as we,” said Martin.

Previous guest hosts have included Mowgli founder Nisha Katona and UK Hospitality’s chief executive Kate Nicholls, who will return this year for her regular political slot at the conference.

“We are revitalizing and refocusing this year’s gathering of the sector’s brightest and best to provide an inspiring programme to shape future hospitality thinking as the market, both in UK and globally, navigates the new business landscape,” added Martin.

With the new focus in 2021 also comes a new venue for the main invitation-only Peach 20/20 conference and awards dinner, when it moves to Exhibition London, a newly opened events and conference complex in the heart of White City and the Westfield development.

Peach 20/20 is now also at the heart of a comprehensive, year-round programme of face-to-face and virtual events for sector leaders and innovators, starting in July with an international Atlantic Club webinar.

“Our message to both operators and partners is the same. Come and join us, be inspired, share best practice and expertise, gain new insights, connect and learn from global and local experts as well as agenda-setting leaders and entrepreneurs. Shape the conversation.”
