Atlantic Club Manchester

Fresh from our Denver tour, we’re heading to Manchester—one of the UK’s most dynamic and fiercely competitive food cities.

The North’s capital is booming, attracting ambitious southern brands like Caravan, Blacklock, Flat Iron, Lina Stores, and Circolo Popolare, while locals such as Nell’s Pizza, Detroit Slims, Higher Ground, and Michelin-starred Skof push the scene to new heights.

We’ll visit 12 plus standout venues, meeting founders and leaders behind the hottest concepts to uncover what’s driving Manchester’s evolving market — from location and pricing to guest experience.

This isn’t just benchmarking; it’s future-mapping. Expect insider insights, tastings, and real talk on strategies and trends shaping the city’s food and drink scene.

Atlantic Club brings together curious hospitality pros to connect, share ideas, and experience the very best Manchester has to offer.

Here's a preview of what we have in store for you...

Day 1 - Wednesday 10 September

We’ll kick off the tour at 11am at Caravan with founders Laura Harper-Hinton and Miles Kirby. Known for its all-day model and globally inspired menus, Caravan’s Manchester opening marks its first step beyond London.

We'll visit Nell’s Pizza for a masterclass in soulful independent brand-building with founders Jonathan & Charlotte Heyes—spotting gaps, scaling authentically, and making big ideas personal.

Day one continues at Blacklock, where we’ll go behind the scenes with Director of Operations Maria McCann to see how this beloved London brand is expanding north without losing its heart—after five London sites, they’ve launched in Manchester and will open in Birmingham this autumn.

We’ll also explore Bar Lina, the late-night cocktail and wine bar from the Caravan team. MD Éadaoin McDonagh will share how Lina leverages brand strength to tap into the evening economy and diversify revenue while keeping a cohesive brand family.

We'll also visit the pioneering Bundabust, high-energy Electric Shuffle, uniquely captivating Fenix, sophisticated Salon Madre and Middle Eastern inspired Maray.

We'll wrap Day 1 with a nightcap at the iconic Albert’s Schloss.

Day 2 - Thursday 11 September 2025

Day 2 of our tour begins with breakfast at the Dakota Hotel.

Our next stop will be one of Manchester’s most talked-about new openings: Circolo Popolare, from the Big Mamma Group. This vibrant Italian dining concept expertly blends theatrical, design-driven interiors with indulgent, produce-focused menus, delivering an experience that is as visually stunning as it is gastronomically satisfying.

Famed for its immersive atmosphere that transforms every visit into a memorable event, Circolo enchants guests with generous sharing plates, handcrafted pastas, and show-stopping desserts—highlighted by its iconic giant lemon meringue pie.

This Manchester location marks the brand’s first foray into the North of England. As well as sampling the menu, we'll also have the opportunity to meet Florent Lunel, Food & Beverage Director of the Big Mamma Group.

We'll also visit Diecast, Manchester’s vast and ambitious new creative neighbourhood, set within a 250,000 sq ft former diecasting factory. Combining raw industrial heritage with bold, design-led spaces, Diecast offers an eclectic mix of dining, drinking, and entertainment across its Warehouse Kitchen, Brooklyn Beer Hall, Club Leno, and expansive beer garden.

At its heart is Leno Ex Machina, serving inventive 'NeoPan' pizzas and vibrant cocktails. With capacity for up to 5,000 guests and a programme of immersive music and events, Diecast is redefining large-scale hospitality in Manchester.

The tour concludes at 2pm.
