Atlantic Club Manchester

Fresh from our Denver tour, we’re heading to Manchester—one of the UK’s most dynamic and fiercely competitive food cities.

The North’s capital is booming, attracting ambitious southern brands like Caravan, Blacklock, Lina Stores, and Circolo Popolare, while locals such as Nell’s Pizza,  Salon Madre, Stow and Fenix push the scene to new heights.

We’ll visit 12 plus standout venues, meeting founders and leaders behind the hottest concepts to uncover what’s driving Manchester’s evolving market — from location and pricing to guest experience.

This isn’t just benchmarking; it’s future-mapping. Expect insider insights, tastings, and real talk on strategies and trends shaping the city’s food and drink scene.

Atlantic Club brings together curious hospitality pros to connect, share ideas, and experience the very best Manchester has to offer.

Here's a preview of what we have in store for you...

Day 1 - Wednesday 10 September

We’ll kick off the tour at 11am at Caravan. Hear from founders Laura Harper-Hinton and Miles Kirby on taking a London modern
institution up the M6

We'll stroll next door to Fenix, one of the coolest venues in town
delivering a modern Greek/Mediterranean experience. Here we'll meet head of operations Mirek Bulka and finance director Gemma Peel from the Permanently Unique Group.

Next stop is Salon Madre, the tequila bar and pool hall now opened next door to much loved Mexican restaurant Madre - for some proper sampling.

We'll walk over to Nell’s Pizza in Kampus, and meet local entrepreneurs and founders Charlotte & Jonny Heyes. Then take a look around some of Kampus’s other independent bars in what’s been dubbed the city’s ‘greenest neighbourhood and foodie hotspot’.

Day one continues at Blacklock, the trend-setting chophouse concept.
We'll meet operations director Maria McCann and hear how the first year in Manchester has gone.

We’ll move on to Bar Lina, the newly opened Italian Aperitivo Bar
from the owners of Lina Stores. Time for an aperitivo, of course, and to hear from COO Éadaoin McDonagh.

Next stop is North West mainstay Maray, serving up food and drink inspired by the flavours of the Middle East.

Then it's beer tasting at Bundabust's open-plan taproom and brewery in the heart of the city, accompanied by samples of its famous Indian street food - all guided by co-founders Marko Husak and Mayur Patel.

Final stop of Day One for a nightcap or two is, of course,
Alberts Schloss, Mission Mars’ award-winning German-style
beer hall - celebrating its 10th anniversary.

Denver by night

Day 2 - Thursday 11 September 2025

Day 2 of our tour begins with breakfast at the Dakota Hotel.

Our next stop will be one of Manchester’s most talked-about new openings: Circolo Popolare, Big Mamma Group’s new Italian trattoria in Manchester. Meet and hear from food & beverages director Florent Lunel on how the growing global operation is staying true to its roots
and culture.

Then we'll stroll over to Stow, a restaurant & cocktail bar from the
creators of Manchester stalwart Trof, where all cooking is
over open fire. It’s hot.

The tour ends at Electric Shuffle, the tech-driven experimental brand that’s already gone global - time for farewells or a game of shuffleboard.

The tour concludes at 1pm.
